The Disenchantment of Hollywood
I am currently going through a period of SERIOUS disenchantment with Hollywood. I have been released by MZA, because, accorduing to Michael Zanuck, we had not reached a point that he was happy with in our professional relationship. I'm not upset with him, because if truth be told in this situation, I was already thinking about doing a similar action against him myself. I feel as though I was systematically being sent on auditions that I was not right for in the first place. Things like a Mexican gangster, a little person, a homeless Russell Brand - type (Isn't that a bit repetitious). Anyway, one can easily see where I was being placed in a situation for failure, by these auditions. Whatever, I was a bit disapointed that I wasn't successful in any of them. My major bitch came though with the open call for Tarantino's western, Django Unchained, I pleaded with MZA to please do ssomething to get me in there, and yet my pleas went unanswered. I was perfect for the film, I can ride and I have shot period weapons, something that is exceedingly rare amongest my peers. Apart from that I can do a Southern (LA. or AL/FLA Panhandle) accent. I actually need to see if there still remains a connection with DL White for representation as well as find someone new before pilot season kicks in full bore this summer. I have sent a press pack to Baron Entertainment, we'll see.
